HOME ENERGY AUDITS

As of January 3, 2023 the Government of Canada, in partnership with Enbridge Gas, launched a new enhanced home efficiency rebate program. This new retrofit program couples with the existing Enbridge program to double your benefits for a maximum rebate of $10,600. The combined programs provide rebates towards eligible retrofits such as home insulation, windows and doors, heat pumps and renewable energy systems.

To be eligible for the Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program and the Canada Greener Homes Grant Initiative you must obtain an EnerGuide home evaluation before the retrofit and then a post-retrofit evaluation once the renovations are completed. Please feel free to contact us for more details and to book an appointment.

Enbridge HER+ Program

If you heat your home with natural gas or are an Enbridge Gas account holder, the Home Efficiency Rebate Plus program can help lower your energy costs and make your home more comfortable year-round. Get up to $10,600 in rebates for insulation, air sealing, new windows/doors, heat pumps, heat pump water heaters, solar panels, and home energy assessments. Before you start any renovation work, you must complete a home energy assessment. As a registered energy advisor, I will look at how your home uses energy and help you select the renovations or upgrades that will make your home more energy efficient and comfortable. If you complete at least one of the recommended upgrades, you will get most of the fee for the assessments back. Contact Bluewater Property Inspection or NRGwise Consulting to have a home energy assessment completed. We will assist you in applying for rebates through the Enbridge Home Efficiency Rebate Plus Program. Click the button to view or download a brochure.

CANADA GREENER HOMES

The Canada Greener Homes Grant program is an opportunity for homeowners, who are not Enbridge Gas account holders, to invest in their home, making it more comfortable to live in and reducing costs. Retrofitting existing homes — such as replacing windows and doors and improving the building envelope, including by adding insulation — is one of the most effective ways to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Canada's Greener Homes initiative will provide homeowners with up to $5,600 in grants for the purchase and installation of qualifying equipment or for the implementation of qualifying measures. Both a pre-retrofit and a post-retrofit EnerGuide Home Energy Evaluation, performed by a Natural Resources Canada Registered Energy Advisor, will be required.
